Elijah was a human
being like us,
And he prayed fervently that
it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the
earth.
Then he prayed again, and the
heaven gave rain and the earth yielded its harvest. James
5:17-18.
Rid yourselves,
therefore, of all malice, and
all guile, insincerity, envy, and all slander.
Like newborn infants, long
for the pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow into salvation-
if indeed you have
tasted that the Lord is good. 1Peter 2:1-3.
