We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. The man who says, “I know him, “but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys his words, God’s love is truly made complete in him. Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did. 1John 2:3-6.
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of Father is not in him. For everything in the world-the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does-comes not from the Father but from the world.
But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth. 1John 2:15-16 & 1:20.
…let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and truth. This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. 1John 3:18-20. Amen.
