“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 7:21.
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but can not kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28.
“To what can I compare this generation? They are like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling out to others:
‘We played the flute for you,
And you did not dance:
We sang a dirge,
And you did not mourn.’ Matthew 11:16-17.
Or haven’t you read in the Law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple desecrate the day yet are innocent?… If you had known what these words mean, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the innocent. Matthew 12:5-7. Amen.
