The New Life in Christ: For the sake of your tradition, you make void the word of God. Matthew 15:6.

For God said, ‘Honor your father and your mother’, and, ‘Whoever speaks evil of father or mother must surely die.’

But you say that whoever tells father or mother, ‘Whatever support you might have had done from me is given to God’, then that person need not honor the father.

So for the sake of your tradition, you make void the word of God. Matthew 15:4-6.

What good is it, if you say you have faith but do not have works?

Can faith save you?

If a brother or sister is naked and lacks daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and eat your fill,’ and yet you do not supply their bodily needs, what is the good of that?

So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead. James 2:14-17.
