The New life in Christ: Such fasting as you do today will not make your voice heard on high. Isaiah 58:4.

“I will tell you the kind of fast I want:

Share your food with the hungry and bring poor, homeless people into your own homes.

When you see someone who has no cloths, give him yours, and don’t refuse to help your own relatives.

Then you will call out, and the LORD will answer.

You will cry out, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’ Isaiah 58:6-9.

Then Jesus said... “When you give a lunch or a dinner, don’t invite you’re your friends, your family, your other relatives, and your rich neighbors. At another time they will invite you to eat with them, and you will be repaid.

Instead, when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind.

Then you will be blessed, because they have nothing and cannot pay you back.

But you will be repaid when the good people rise from the dead.” Luke 14:12-14. Amen.
