The New Life In Christ: They (mortals) are like a breath; their days are like a passing shadow. Psalm 144:4.

But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and despised things-and the things that are not-to nullify things-and the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. Therefore, as it is written: “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.” 1Corinthians 1:27-29 & 1:31.

Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. 2Corinthians 4:2.

But, “Let him boasts boast the Lord.” For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends. 2Corinthians 10:17-18.
