The New life In Christ: I will tear off your veils, and save my people from your hands; Ezekiel 13:21.

Because, in truth, because they have misled my people, saying, “Peace,” when there is no peace; and because, when the people build a wall, these prophets smear whitewash on it.
Say to those who smear whitewash on it that it shall fall.
…When the wall falls, will it not be said to you, “Where is the whitewash you smeared on it?” Ezekiel 13: 10-12.
Thus I will spend my wrath upon the wall and upon those who have smeared it with whitewash; and I will say to, The wall is no more, not those who smeared it…, says the Lord GOD. Ezekiel 13: 15. Amen.

Thus says the Lord GOD, Alas for the senseless prophets who follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing! Ezekiel 13:3.
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Because you have uttered falsehood and envisioned lies. I am against you, says the Lord GOD.
My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations; Ezekiel 13:8-9. Amen.

The New life In Christ: For human ways are under the eyes of the LORD, and he examines all their paths. Proverbs 5:21.

There are six things that the LORD hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devices wicked plans, feet that hurry to run to evil, a lying witness who testifies falsely, and one who sows discard in a family.               Proverbs 6:16-19.
The fear of the LORD is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate. Proverbs 8:13.
Those who are greedy for unjust gain make trouble for their households, but those who hate bribes will live. Proverbs 15: 27. Amen.

The New Life In Christ: “They struck me,” you will say, “but I was not hurt;” They beat me, but I did not feel it. Proverbs 23:35.

If your enemies are hungry, give them bread to eat; and if they are thirsty, give them water to drink; for you will heap coals of fire on their heads, and the LORD will reward you. Proverbs 25: 21-22.
Do not say, “I will repay evil”; wait for the LORD, and he will help you. Proverbs 20:22.
Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it. Proverbs 3:27. Amen.

The New life In Christ: And the good news must first be proclaimed to all nations. Mark 13:10.

God made a choice among you, that I should be the one through whom the Gentiles would hear the message of the good news and become believers. And God, who knows the human heart, testified to them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as he did to us. Acts 15:7-8.
The stone that the believers rejected became the cornerstone. The LORD did this… Psalm 118:22-23. Amen.

The New Life In Christ: So the law is Holy, and the command is holy and right and good. Romans 7:12.

For the whole law is summed up in a single commandment, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself”….the only thing that counts is faith working through love. Galatians 5:14 & 5:16.
You might think I am saying that sin and the law are the same thing. That is not true. But the law was the only way I could learn what sin meant. Romans 7:7.
So what should we do? Should we sin because we are under grace and not under law? No. Romans 6:15. Amen.

The New life In Christ: Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the LORD. Romans 12:19.

Don’t be afraid or discourages because of this large army. The battle is not your battle, it is God’s…and see the victory of the LORD on your behalf. 2Chronicles 20:15.
You won’t need to fight in this battle. Just stand strong in your places, and you will see the LORD save you. 2Chronicles 20:17.
I will now give that cup of punishment to those who gave you pain, who told you.
“Bow down so we can walk over you.
They made your back like dirt for them to walk on; you were like a street for them to travel on.” Isaiah 51:23. Amen.

The New life In Christ: “Think about what you have done…” Haggai 1:5.

…You take unfair interest and profits and make profits by mistreating your neighbor. And you have forgotten me, says the LORD God. Ezekiel 22:12.
Like a bird hatching an egg it did not lay, so are the people who get rich by cheating. When their lives are half finished, they will lose their riches. At the end of their lives, it will be clear they were fools. Jeremiah 17:11.
Therefore one must be subject, not only because of wrath but also because of conscience. Romans 13:5. Amen.

The New life In Christ: But one is tempted by one’s own desire, being lured and enticed by it; James 1:14.

Yet one of you is a devil…HE was speaking of Judas…for he was going to betray him. John 6:70-71, 13:2.
…the devil…does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him…for he is a liar and the father of lies.
…So he (Jesus) dipped the piece of bread, he gave it to Judas… After he received the piece of bread, Satan entered into him. Jesus said to him, “Do quickly what you are going to do.” John 13:26-27 and 13:30.
“Ananias,” Peter asked, “Why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit…?” You did not lie to us but to God… Acts 5:3-4. Amen.

The New life In Christ: For it is God’s will that by doing right you should silence the ignorance of the foolish. 1Peter 2:15.

For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you should follow his steps. 1Peter 2:20-21.
Keep your conscience clear, so that, when you are maligned, those who abuse you for your good conduct in Christ may be put to shame. 1Peter 3:16. The New life In Christ: ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me. John 6:45.

Anyone who resolves to do the will of God will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own. Those who speak on their own seek their own glory; but the one who seeks the glory of him is true and there is nothing false in him. John 7:17-18.
If anyone of you is lacking in wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given you. But ask in faith. Never doubting… James 1:5.

The New life In Christ: The one who is righteous will live by faith. Galatians 3:11.

One does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4.
But you have been anointed by the Holy one, and all of you have knowledge … Ac for you, the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and so you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, abide in him. 1John 2:20 & 2:27.
I am the living bread…whoever eats of his bread will live forever. John 6:51. Amen.

The New life In Christ: …you accepted it not as a human word but as what it really is, God’s word… Thessalonians 2:13.

Whoever speaks must do so as one speaking the very words of God; whoever serves must do so with the strength that God supplies, so that God may be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ…1Peter 4:11.

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who in every respect has been tested, as we are, yet with out sin. Hebrews 4:15 & 9:11.
For what the flesh desires is opposed to the Spirit, and what the Spirit desires is opposed to the flesh;

The New life In Christ: You received without payment; give without payment. Matthew 10:8.

…Why do you wonder at this, or why do you stare at us, as though by own power or piety we had made him walk?
And by faith in His name, His name itself has made this man strong. Whom you see and know; and the faith that is through Jesus has given him this perfect health in the presence of all of you. Acts 3:12 & 3:16.
…I worked with my own hands to support myself and my companions…I have given you an example that by such work we must support the weak, remembering the words of the LORD Jesus, for he himself said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:34-35.
“He must increase, but I must decrease.” John 3:30. Amen.

The New life In Christ: …yet, they can not find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. Ecclesiastes 3:11.

Its PRIESTS have done violence to my teaching and have profaned my holy things; they have made no distinction between the holy and the common, neither have they taught the difference between the unclean and the clean…
Its PROPHETS have smeared whitewash on their behalf, seeing false visions and divining lies from them, saying, “Thus says the Lord GOD,” when the LORD has not spoken.
And I sought for anyone among them who would repair the wall and stand in the breach before me on behalf of land, so that I would not destroy it; but I found no one. Ezekiel 22: 26 & 28 & 30. The New Life In Christ: How lightly you gad about, changing your ways! Jeremiah 2:36.

Since an overseer is entrusted with God’s work, he must be blameless-not over bearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain.
Rather he must be hospitable, upright, holy and disciplined.
He must hold firmly to the trust worthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it. Titus 1:7-9.
(But) For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 2Timothy 4:3-4.

He cuts at every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.
You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.
Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. John 15: 2-4.
Remember the words I spoke to you: ‘No servant is greater than his master.’ John 15:20. Amen.

The New Life In Christ: The fear of the LORD is Zion’s treasure. Isaiah 33:6.

Those who walk righteously and speak uprightly, who despise the gain of oppression, who wave away a bribe instead of accepting it, who stop their ears from hearing of bloodshed and shut their eyes from looking on evil, they will live on the heights;
Their refuge will be the fortresses of rocks;
Their food will be supplied, their water assured. Isaiah 33:15-16.
Examine yourselves… 1Corinthians 13:5. Amen.

Saturday, 3 November 2012

The New life In Christ: I am profaned among them. Ezekiel 22:26.

In you, they take bribes to shed blood; you take both advance interest and accrued interest, and make gain of your neighbors by extortion; and you have forgotten me, says the Lord GOD.
See, I strike my hands together at the dishonest gain you have made, and at the blood that has been shed within you.
Can your courage endure, or can your hands remain strong in the days when I shall deal with you? Ezekiel 22:12-14. Amen.
