Now this is our boast: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in our relations with you, in the holiness and sincerity that are from God. We have done so not according to worldly wisdom but according to God’s grace. 2Corinthians 1:12.

Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. 2Corinthians 4:2. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man’s work. 1Corinthians.

Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My father will honor the one who serves me. John 12:26.

Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash oneanother’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.

Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. John 13:14-15 & 13:34.

 If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love. John 15:10. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - Yes, Father. For this was your good pleasure… Luke 10:21.

For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me…

 They also answer, “Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick in prison, and did not help you?”

He will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ Matthew 25:42-45.

 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 7:21. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - God’s Chosen Servant:

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 7:21.

A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out, till he leads justice to victory. Matthew 12:20.

"So the last will be the first, and the first will be the last" Matthew 20:16.

 “The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone”, the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes. Matthew 21:42. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into the name of Paul? 1Corinthians 1:13

Unlike the other high priests, he has no need to offer sacrifices day after day , first for his own sins, and then for those of the people; this he did once for all when he offered himself.

For the law appoints as high priests those who are subject to weakness but the word of oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made perfect forever.Hebrews 7:27-28.

 …we have such a priest…and not any mortal. Hebrews 8:1-2. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ:

Do not offer the parts of your body to sin… (but) as instruments of righteousness… Romans 6:12.

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2.

And this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. 1Peter 3:21. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - And you will be blessed, because…

He said also to the one who had invited him, “When you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, in case they may invite you in return, and you would be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. And you will be blessed, because they can not repay you, for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous. Luke 14:13-14. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - Your own faith and your own cooperation with the word of God…!

When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had been there a long time, he said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” The sick man answered him. ‘Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; and while I am making my way, someone else steps down ahead of me.” Jesus said to him, “Stand up, take your mat and walk.” At once the man was made well… John 5:6-9. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, Proverbs 22:1.

As it is written:

He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.

Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise the God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. 2Corinthians 9:9 and 9:13. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - Fight the good fight of the faith…1Timothy 6:12.

Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 2Timothy 2:3.

Infact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted… 2Timothy 3:12.

But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship… 2Timothy 4:5. Amen.

The New LIfe In Christ - but test everything; hold fast to what is good; 1Thessalonians 5:21.

For the time is coming when people will not put up with sound doctrine, but having itching ears, they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own desires, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander away to myths. As for you, always be sober, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, carry out your ministry fully. 2Timothy 4:3-4. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - The Bread from Heaven:

Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw signs (spiritual blessings) , but because you ate your fill of the loves (material blessings). John 6:26. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - A Call to Holy Living

…just as he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless before him in love. Ephesians 1:4.

Like obedient children, do not conformed to the desires that you formerly had in ignorance. Instead, as he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in all your conduct; for it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” 1Peter 1:15-16. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - The renewal of Souls:

A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will remove from your body the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. I will put my spirit within you, and make you follow my statutes and be careful to observe my ordinances. Ezekiel 36:26-26. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - Made Alive in Christ:

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10.

…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to the completion until the day of Christ Jesus.  Philippians 1:6.

The New Life In Christ - Generosity encouraged:

The young man said to him, “I have kept all these; what do I still lack?” Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have a treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”               Matthew 19:20-21.

At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. Then there will be equality, as it is written: “He who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little.” 2Corinthians 8:14-15.

The New Life In Christ - Sickness... The Son of God may be glorified through it... John 11:4

Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, "Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick." When Jesus heard that, He said "This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it." John 11:3-4. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - Consider how you have fared. Haggai 1:5.

But you are not in the flesh: you are in the Spirit, since the Spirit of God dwells in you. Any one who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. Romans 8:9.

The New Life In Christ - A New Way of Thinking

Do not change yourselves to be like the people of this world, but be changed within by a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to decide what God wants for you; you will know what is good and pleasing to him and what is perfect. Romans 12:2. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - Jesus the True vine:

I am the true vine and my Father is the vinegrower. He removes every branch in me that bears no fruit. Every branch that bears fruit he prunes to make it bear more fruit… John 15:1-2. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - Good Stewards of God’s Grace:

Whoever speaks must do so as one speaking the very words of God; whoever serves must do so with the strength that God supplies, so that God may be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ. 1Peter 4:11. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - The Nature of Christian Freedom:

For the whole law is summed up in a single commandment, “You shall love your neighbor as yourselves”.

Live by the Spirit…and do not gratify the desires of the flesh.

Galatians 5:14 & 5:16.

Love never ends. But as for prophecies…as for tongues…as for knowledge they will come to an end. 1Corinthians 13:8. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - Life in the Spirit:

For those who live following their sinful selves think only about things that their sinful selves want. But those who live following the Spirit are thinking about the things the Spirit wants them to do. Romans 8:5.

All must test their own works; Galatians 6:4. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - The Promise of the Holy Spirit:

The Holy Spirit will teach you everything, and remind you of all that I have said to you. John 14:26.

And when he comes, he will prove the world wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment… When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth. John 16:8 & 16:13.

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified their own sinful nature. They have given up their old selfish feelings and the evil things they wanted to do. We get our new life from the Spirit, so we should follow the Spirit. Galatians 5:24-25. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - I put my hope in your word. Psalm 119:147.

I hold back my feet from evil way, in order to keep your word. I do not turn away from your ordinances, for you have taught me. Psalm 119: 101-102.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. John 1:1.

Whoever is from God hears the words of God. John 8:47. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - “He must increase but I must decrease” John 3:30.

…are human, and not God.

…are flesh, and not spirit. Isaiah 31:3.

For there is one God; there is also one mediator between God and humankind, Christ Jesus, himself human, who gave himself a ransom for all…1Timothy 2:5-6.

…you accepted it not as a human word but as what it really is, God’s word… 1Thessalonians 2:13. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - Think about what you have done… Haggai 1:5

We must obey God rather than any human authority. Acts 5:29.

…when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance…on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 2Thessalonians 1:7-8.

For the time has come for judgment to begin with the household of God: if it begins with us, what will be the end for those who do not obey the gospel of God…1Peter 4:17. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - Consider how you have fared. Haggai 1:5.

…we are God’s children now; what we will be has not yet been revealed. What we do know is this: when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him as he is. And all who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure. 1John 3:2-3. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. Colossians 3:2.

Therefore let us go toward perfection, leaving behind the basic teaching about Christ, and not laying again the foundation: repentance from dead works and faith toward God, instruction about baptisms, laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. Hebrews 6:1-2. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - Godlessness in the last days:

For the time is coming when people will not put up with sound doctrine, but having itching ears, they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own desires, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wonder away to myths. (But) As for you, always be sober, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, carry out your ministry fully. 2Timothy 4:3-5. Amen.

The New Life In Christ - The Real Crown Of Glory

Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, serving as overseers- not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away. 1Peter 5:2-4. Amen.
