The New Life in Christ: Be an example to the believers with your words, your actions, your love, your faith and your pure life. 1Timothy 4:12.

Anyone who has a different teaching does not agree with the true teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that shows the true way to serve God.
This person is full of pride and understands nothing, but is sick with a love for arguing and fighting about words.
This brings jealousy, fighting, speaking about others, evil mistrust, and constant quarrels from those who have evil minds and have lost the truth. They think that serving God is a way to get rich. 1Timothy 6:3-5.
But you, man of God, run away from all those things. Instead, live in the right way, serve God.
You were called to have that life when you confessed the good, confession before many witnesses. 1Timothy 6:11-12. Amen.

Thursday 30 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: “Every plant that my Father in heaven has not planted himself will be pulled up by the roots,” answered Jesus. Matthew 15:13.

Remember when Theudas appeared?
He said he was a great man, and about four hundred man joined him. But he was killed, and all his followers were scattered; they were able to do nothing.
Later, a man named Judas came from Galilee at the time of registration. He also led a group of followers and was killed, and all his followers were scattered;
If their plan comes from human authority, it will fail but if it is from God, you will not be able to stop them. Acts 5:35-39. Amen.

Wednesday 29 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: All your prayers will be answered, if you have faith.-Living witness.

All things are possible for the one who believe. Mark 9:23.
“Have faith in God. I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, fall into the sea.’ And if you have no doubts in your mind and believe that what you say will happen, God will do it for you.
So I tell you to believe that you have received the things you ask for in prayer, and God will give them to you,” said Jesus. Mark 11:22-24.
“You are blessed because you believed that what the Lord said to you would really happen.” Luke 1:45. Amen.

Tuesday 28 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: “I tell you the truth, you aren’t looking for me because you saw me do miracles (Spiritual blessings). You are looking for me because you ate the bread and were satisfied (material blessings), Jesus answered. John 6:26.

Serving God does make us very rich, if we are satisfied with what we have. We bought nothing into the world, so we can take nothing out.
But, if we have food and clothes, we will be satisfied with that.
Those who want to become rich bring temptation to themselves and are caught in a trap.
The love of money causes all kinds of evil. 1Timothy 6:6-10.
Command those who are rich with things of this world not to be proud. Tell them to hope in God, not in their uncertain riches.
Tell the rich people to do good, to be rich in doing good deeds, to be generous and ready to share.
By doing that, they will be saving a treasure for themselves as a strong foundation for the future. Then they will be able to have the life that is true life (Spiritual life). 1Timothy 6:17-19. Amen.

Monday 27 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: Those who believe will pick up snakes and drink poison without being hurt. Mark 16:18.

Paul gathered a pile of sticks and was putting them on the fire when a poisonous snake came out because of the heat and bit him on the hand. The people living on the island saw the snake hanging from Paul’s hand and said to each other, “This man must be a murderer! He did not die in the sea, but justice does not want him to live.”
But Paul shook the snake off into the fire and was not hurt. The people thought that Paul would swell up or fall down dead. They waited and watched him for a long time, but nothing bad happened to him. So they changed their minds and said, “He is a god!” Acts28:3-6.
Jesus said, "I have given you power to walk on snakes and scorpions, power that is greater than the enemy has. Luke 10:19. Amen.

Sunday 26 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: We cannot understand all God does: “How terrible it will be for the leaders who are scattering and destroying my people,” says the LORD. Jeremiah 23:1.

Is straw the same thing as wheat? says the LORD. Jeremiah 23:28.
“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” Matthew 24: 36.
Nobody can understand what God does here on earth. No matter how hard people try to understand it, they cannot. Even if wise people sat what they understand, they cannot; no one can really understand it. Ecclesiastes 8:17.
A fool talks too much. No one knows the future, and no one can tell what will happen after death. Ecclesiastes 10:14.
You don’t know where the wind will blow, and you don’t know how a baby grows inside the mother.
In the same way you don’t know what God is doing, or how he created everything. Ecclesiastes 11:5.
From ages past no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who works for those who wait for him. Isaiah 64:4. Amen.

Saturday 25 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: Jesus Teaches About Prayer & Worship: “Don’t be like them. Don’t be like those people who don’t know God.” Matthew 6:7-8.

“When you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites. They love to stand in the synagogues and on the street corners and pray so people will see them. I tell you the truth, they already have their full reward.”
“When you pray, you should go into your room and close the door and pray to your Father who cannot be seen. Your Father can see what is done in secret, and he will reward you.”
“And when you pray, don’t be like those people who don’t know God. They continue saying things that mean nothing thinking that God will hear them because of their many words. Don’t be like them, because your Father knows the things you need before you ask him.” Matthew 6:5-8.
Not all those who say that I am their Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven. The only people who will enter the kingdom of heaven are those who do not what my Father in heaven wants.
On the last day many people will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, we spoke for you, and through you we forced out demons and did many miracles.’
Then I will tell them clearly, ‘Get away from me, you who do evil. I never knew you.’ Matthew 7:21-23. Amen.

Friday 24 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: “God can do things that are not possible for people to do.” Luke 18:27.-Living witness.

The officer, a man under the authority of others, and who has soldiers under his command said, “Lord, I am not worthy for you to come into my house. You only need to command it, and my servant who can’t move his body and is in much pain will be healed.”
Then Jesus said to the officer, “Go home. Your servant will be healed just as you believed he would.” And his servant was healed that same hour. Matthew 8:5-13.
A woman who had been bleeding for twelve years came behind Jesus and touched the edge of his coat. She was thinking, “If I can just touch his clothes, I will be healed.”
Jesus turned and saw the woman and said, “Be encouraged, dear woman. You are made well because you believed.”
and the woman was healed from that moment on. Matthew 9:20-22.
“He (Jesus Christ) took our sufferings on him and carried our diseases.” Matthew 8:17. Amen.

Thursday 23 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: He will not break a crushed blade of grass or put out even a weak flame. He will truly bring justice. Isaiah 42:3.

“All those people who are angry with you will be ashamed and disgraced.
Those who are against you will disappear and be lost.
You will look for your enemies, but you will not find them.
Those who fought against you will vanish completely. Isaiah 41:11-12.
People will see these things and understand; they will think carefully about these things and learn that the LORD’s power did this, that the Holy One of Israel made these things.” Isaiah 41:20.
Anyone who trusts in me will not be disappointed.” Isaiah 49:23.
“Then everyone will know I, the LORD, am the One who saves you, I am the Powerful One of Jacob who saves you.” Isaiah 49:26. Amen.

Wednesday 22 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: Those people who are ruled by their sinful selves cannot please God. If you use your lives to do the wrong things your sinful selves want, you will die spiritually. Romans 8:8 & 8:13.

The law was without power, because the law was made weak by our sinful selves.
But God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son to earth with the same human life that others use for sin. By sending his Son be an offering to pay for sin, God used a human life to destroy sin. He did this so that we could be the kind of people the law correctly wants us to be. Now we do not live following our sinful selves, but we live following the Spirit. Those who live following their sinful selves think only about things that sinful selves want. But those who live following the Spirit are thinking about the things the Spirit wants them to do. Romans 8:3-5.
But you are not ruled by your sinful selves. You are ruled by the Spirit, if that Spirit of God really lives in you. But the person who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to Christ. Romans 8:9.
So, we must not be ruled by our sinful selves or live the way our sinful selves want. Romans 8:12.
Amen

Tuesday 21 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: The LORD tests hearts. Proverbs 17:3.

How terrible it will be for those who try to hide things from the LORD and who do their work in darkness. They think no one will see them or know what they do. Isaiah 29:15.
The LORD sees everything you do, and he watches where you go. Proverbs 5:21.
All these thing will happen on the day when God through Christ Jesus, will judge people’s secret thoughts. Romans 2:16.
Nothing in all the world can be hidden from God. Everything is clear and lies open before him, and to him we must explain the way we have lived. Hebrews 4:13.
Each person should judge his own actions. Galatians 6:4.
If you hide your sins, you will not succeed. If you confess and reject them, you will receive mercy. Proverbs 28:13.
Amen.

Monday 20 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: His God teaches him and shows him the right way. Isaiah 28:26.

A former does not plow his field all the time; he does not go on working the soil.
(No longer will a man teach, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. Hebrews 8:11.)
He makes the ground flat and smooth. Then he plants the dill and scatters the cumin.
He plants the wheat in rows, the barley in its special place, and other wheat as a border around the field. Isaiah 28:24-25.
(Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation… Hebrews 6:2.)
This lesson also comes from the LORD All-Powerful, who gives wonderful advice, who is very wise. Isaiah 28:29.
You were taught the truth that is in Jesus. Ephesians 24:21.
Amen.

Sunday 19 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: The purpose of receiving Spiritual gifts from God.

Each man has his own gift from God; one has his gift, another has that. 1Corinthians 7:7.
There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men. 1Corinthians 12:4-11.
And Christ gave gifts to people to prepare God’s holy people for the work of serving, to make the body of Christ stronger.
We must become like a mature person, growing until we become like Christ and have his perfection.
We will not be influenced by every new teaching we hear from people who are trying to fool us. They make plans and try any kind of trick to fool people into following the wrong path. Ephesians 4:11-14.
Each person should judge his own actions and not compare himself with others. Galatians 6:4.
The gifts in italics are repeated in one of the other passages.
Romans 12
1 Corinthians 12
Ephesians 4
Misc. Passages

Amen.

Saturday 18 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: People will no longer have to teach their neighbors and relatives to know the Lord, because all people will know me, from the least to the most important. Hebrews 8:11.

By now you should be teachers, but you need someone to teach you again the first lessons of God’s message. You still need the teaching that is like milk. You are not ready for solid food.
Anyone who lives on milk is still a baby and knows nothing about right teaching.
But solid food is for who are grown up. They have practiced in order to know the difference between good and evil. Hebrews 5:12-14.
So let us go on to grown-up teaching. Let us not go back over the beginning lessons we learned about Christ. We should not again start teaching about faith in God and about turning away from those acts that lead to death. We should not return to the teaching about baptisms, about laying on of hands, about the raising of the dead and eternal judgment. Hebrews 6:1-2.
Amen.

Friday 17 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: These things must happen before the end comes. Matthew 24:6.

People are saying that others make plans against them,
but you should not believe them.
Don’t be afraid of what they fear;
do not dread those things.
But remember that the LORD All-Powerful is holy.
He is the one you should fear;
he is the one you should dread. Isaiah 8:12-13.
You rejected what God said for the sake of your own rules.
You are hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he said about you:
“These people show honor to me with words,
But their hearts are far from me.
Their worship of me is worthless.
The things they teach are nothing but human rules.” Matthew 15:6-9.
Their lives are not good examples for you to follow.
They tell you to do things, but they themselves don’t do them.
They make strict rules and try to force people to obey them, but they are unwilling to help those who struggle under the weight of their rules.
They do good things so that other people will see them…
They make their special prayer clothes very long…
They love to have the most important seats at feasts and in the synagogues….
They love people to greet them with respect in the marketplaces, and they love to have people call them ‘Teacher’.
But you have only one Teacher…Father…Master…, the Christ.
Matthew 23:3-10. Amen.

Thursday 16 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: If you say, “We don’t know anything about this.” God who knows what’s in your mind will notice. Proverbs 24:12.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27.
Whoever mistreats the poor insults their Maker,
but whoever is kind to the needy honors God. Proverbs 14:31.
Whoever ignores the poor when they cry for help will also cry for help and not be answered. Proverbs 21:13.
So you must show mercy to others, or God will not show mercy to you when he judges you. But the person who shows mercy can stand without fear at the judgment. James 2:12. Amen.

Wednesday 15 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: Whoever is dishonest with a little is dishonest with a lot. Luke 16:10.

“You make yourselves look good in front of people, but God knows what is really in your hearts.” Jesus said to the Pharisees who loved money. What is important to people is hateful in God’s sight. Luke 16:15.
It is the same with you, teachers of the law and Pharisees! People look at you and think you are good, but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and evil. Matthew 23:28.
“They try to make themselves look good by saying long prayers. They will receive a greater punishment.” Mark 12:40.
Amen.

Tuesday 14 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: For your meetings do more harm than good. 1Corinthians 12:23-24.

For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 2Timothy 4:3-4.
Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is on earthly things. Philippians 3:19.
And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, while our presentable parts need no special treatment. 1Corinthians 12:23-24.
Amen.

Monday 13 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for the day of the Lord will not come, until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 2Thessalonians 2:3.

The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kind of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They preach because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 2Thessalonians 2:9-10.
For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. 2Corinthians 11:13-15.
Amen.

Sunday 12 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: Telling the Good News is my duty-something I must do. 1Corinthians 9:16.

The LORD has commanded that those who tell the Good News should get their living from this work.
I have not used any of these rights.
So what reward do I get?
This is my reward: that when I tell the Good News I can offer it freely. 1Corinthians 9:14 & 9:18.
We never tried to influence you by saying nice things about you. We were not trying to get your money; we had no selfishness to hide from you. God knows that this is true.
We worked night and day so we would not burden any of you while we preached God’s Good News to you. 1Thessalonians 2:5 & 2:9.
And when we ate another person’s food, we always paid for it. We worked very hard night and day so we would not be an expense to any of you. We had the right to ask you to help us, but we worked to take care of ourselves so we would be an example for you to follow. 2Thessalonians 3:8-9.
Each person must be responsible for himself. Galatians 6:5.
Freely you have received, freely give. Matthew 10:8. Amen.

Saturday 11 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: How to honor God?

They say, “To honor God we had special days when we gave up eating…we humbled ourselves to honor God…”
But the LORD says, “…You cannot do these things as you do now and believe your prayers are heard in heaven.”
This kind of special day is not what I want…
I will tell you the kind of special day I want:”
Free the people you have put in prison unfairly and undo their chains.
Free those to whom you are unfair and stop their hard labor.
Share your food with the hungry and bring poor, homeless people into your own homes.
When you see someone who has no clothes, give him yours, and don’t refuse to help your own relatives.”
“If you stop making trouble for others, if you stop using cruel words and pointing your finger at others, if you feed those who are hungry and take care of the needs of those who are troubled, then your light will shine in the darkness, and you will be bright like sunshine at noon. Isaiah 58:6-10. Amen.

Friday 10 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: Regulations concerning Tithes:

Since there will never cease to be some in need on the earth, I therefore command you, “Open your hand to the poor and needy neighbor in your hand.” Deuteronomy 15:11.
God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything you may share abundantly in every good work.
As it is written,
“He scatters abroad, he gives to the poor;
his righteousness endures forever.” 2Corinthians 9:8-9.
Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with everyone else. 2Corinthians 9:13.
Test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you?-unless, indeed, you fail to meet the test! 2Corinthians 13:5. Amen.

Thursday 9 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: WEALTH CANNOT BUY HAPPINESS: They do not worry about how short their life is, because God keeps them busy with what they love to do. Ecclesiastes 5:20.

Whoever loves money will never have enough money;
Whoever loves wealth will not be satisfied with it.
God gives some people the ability to enjoy the wealth and property he gives them, as well as the ability to accept their state in life and enjoy their work. They do not worry about how short their life is… Ecclesiastes 5:19-20.
God gives great wealth, riches, and honor to some people; they have everything they want. But God does not let them enjoy such things; a stranger enjoys them instead. This is vanity; Ecclesiastes 6:2.
It is better to be poor and respect the LORD than to be wealthy and have much trouble. Proverbs 15:16.
It is better to be poor and right than to be wealthy and dishonest. Proverbs 16:8. Amen.

Wednesday 8 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: He gave them what they asked, but sent a wasting disease among them. Psalm 106:15.

Just as you excel in everything-in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us-see that you also excel in this grace of giving. 2Corinthians 8:7.
At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in your turn their plenty will supply what you need. Then there will be equality, as it is written:
He who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little.” 2Corinthians 8:14-15.
Godliness with contentment is great gain. For we bought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.. 1Timothy 6:6-8.
So, as the Holy Spirit says:
“Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts
as you did in the rebellion,
during the time of testing in the desert,
where your fathers tested and tried me
and for forty years saw what I did.” Hebrews 3:7-9.
2Corinthians 9:12 says “This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God” How do you say thank you to dad and mum on mummy’s or daddy’s day? You give them a treat or buy them a gift to express your appreciation or gratitude. God’s treat or gift to express your appreciation or gratitude to Him in this case is giving to others.   Do you know the power of thanksgiving? Well, let me use parents as an analogy if your dad buys you something and you appreciate it, won’t your dad buy you more gift? Definitely he will buy you more because you appreciate it but if you don’t what happens?  He seizes to buy you things anymore because you might not appreciate it. In this case to receive more from God you have to show appreciation by giving thanks through giving to the poor. Amen.

Tuesday 7 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: I will test them, whether they will follow my instruction or not, the LORD said to Moses. Exodus 16:4.

Moses said to the Israelites, “It is the bread that the LORD has given you to eat…"
This is what the LORD has commanded: ‘Gather as much of it as each of you needs, an omer to a person according to the number of persons, all providing for those in their own tents.’
The Israelites did so, some gathering more, some less.
But when they measured it with an omer, those who gathered much had nothing over, and those who gathered little had no shortage; they gathered as much as each of them needed.
And Moses said to them, “Let no one leave any of it over until morning.” But they did not listen to Moses; some left part of it until morning, and it bred worms and became foul. And Moses was angry with them.
Morning by morning they gathered it, as much as each needed; but when the sun grew hot, it melted. Exodus 16:15-21. Amen.

Monday 6 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: What has straw in common with wheat? says the LORD. Jeremiah 23:28.

Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! Jeremiah 23:1.
I have heard what the prophets have said who prophesy lies in my name, saying, “I have dreamed, I have dreamed!” How long? Will the hearts of the prophets ever turn back-those who prophesy lies, and who prophesy the deceit of their own heart?
They plan to make my people forget my name by their dreams that they tell one another, just as their ancestors forgot my name for Baal.
Let the prophet who has a dream tell the dream, but let the one who has my word speak my word faithfully.
Is not my word like fire, says the LORD, and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?
See, therefore, I am against the prophets, says the LORD, who steal my words from one another.
See, I am against the prophets, says the LORD, who use their own tongues and say, “Says the LORD.”
See, I am against those who prophesy lying dreams, says the LORD, and who tell them, and who lead my people astray by their lies and their recklessness, when I did not send them or appoint them; so they do not profit this people at all, says the LORD. Jeremiah 23:25-32. Amen.

Sunday 5 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: Why is my pain unceasing, my wound incurable, refusing to be healed? Jeremiah 15:18.

O LORD, you know;
remember me and visit me,
and bring down retribution for me on my persecutors.
In your forbearance do not take me away;
know that on your account I suffer insult. Jeremiah 15:15.
But the LORD is with me like a dread warrior;
therefore my persecutors will stumble,
and they will not prevail.
They will be greatly shamed,
for they will not succeed.
Their eternal dishonor will never be forgotten.
O LORD of hosts, you test the righteous,
you see the heart and the mind;
let me see your retribution upon them,
for to you I have committed my cause. Jeremiah 20:11-12. Amen.

Saturday 4 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: I know that you can do all things and no plan of yours can be ruined. Job 42:2.

I will give them a heart to know that I am the LORD; Jeremiah 24:7.
There is no one who can deliver from my hand; says the LORD. Isaiah 43:13.
God does wonders that cannot be understood; he does so many miracles they cannot be counted. Job 5:9.
Every one of these knows that the hand of the LORD has done this. Job 12:9.
He will do to me what he said he would do, and he has many plans like this. Job 23:14.
I had heard of you by hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you; Job 42:5. Amen.

Friday 3 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13.

To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn (worldly troubles) in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me.
Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties.
For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2Corinthians 12:7-10.
In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. 2Timothy 3:12. Amen.

Thursday 2 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: You are looking only on the surface of things. 2Corinthians 10:7.

That is why Scriptures says:
God opposes the proud
But gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6.
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. James 4:10.
For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends. 2Corinthians 10:18.
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Philippians 2:3. Amen.

Wednesday 1 May 2013

The New Life in Christ: Others, like seed sown among thorns… Mark 4:18.

What must I do to inherit eternal life?” the man who has kept all the commandments since he was a boy asked Jesus.
Jesus looked at him and loved him. “One thing you lack,” he said. “Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
At this the man’s face fell. He went away sad, because he had great wealth. Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!”
The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said again, “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” Mark 10:19-25.
Hear the word; but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful. Mark 4:18-19. Amen.
