You search the scriptures... John 5:39

The New Life In Christ: Live by the Spirit…do not gratify the desires of the flesh. Galatians 5:16.

You were taught to put away your former way of life, your old self, corrupt and deluded by its lusts, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to clothe yourselves with new self, created according to the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:22-24.
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God. Ephesians 4:30.
Of course, there is great gain in godliness combined with contentment; for we brought nothing into the world, so that we can take nothing out of it; 1Timothy 6:6-7.
For it is impossible to restore again to repentance those who have once been enlightened, have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, since on their own they are crucifying again the Son of God and are holding him up to contempt. Hebrews 6:4-6.
…its end is to be burned over. Hebrews 6:8. Amen.

Monday 30 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: Vanity of vanities…all is vanity. Ecclesiastes 12:8.

yet fools talk on and on. No one knows what is to happen, and who can tell anyone what the future holds? Ecclesiastes 10:14.
Just as you do not know how the breath comes to the bones in the mother’s womb, so you do not know the work of God, who makes everything. Ecclesiastes 11:5.
How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
“For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” Romans 11:33-34.
But as it is written,
“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the human heart conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him”-these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. 1Corinthians 2:9-10.
“For who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?”  But we have the mind of Christ. 1Corinthians 2:16.
So let no one boast about human leaders. 1Corinthians 3:21.
For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil. Ecclesiastes 12:14. Amen.

Sunday 29 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: This is an evil in all that happens under sun, that the same fate comes to everyone. Ecclesiastes 9:3.

In my vain life I have seen everything; there are righteous people who perish in their righteousness, and there are wicked people who prolong their life in their evildoing. Ecclesiastes 7:15.
Surely there is no one on earth so righteous as to do good without ever sinning…your heart knows that many times you have yourself cursed others. Ecclesiastes 7:20 & 7:22.
Though sinners do evil a hundred times and prolong their lives, yet I know that it will be well with those who fear God, because they stand in fear before him… Ecclesiastes 8:12.
There is a vanity that takes place on earth, that there are righteous people who are treated according to the conduct of the wicked, and there are wicked people who are treated according to the conduct of the righteous. I said that this also is vanity. Ecclesiastes 8:14.
Everything that confronts them is vanity, since the same fate comes to all, to the righteous and the wicked, to the good and the evil, to the clean and the unclean, to those who sacrifice and those who do not sacrifice. Ecclesiastes 9:2. Amen.

Saturday 28 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: All deeds are right in the sight of the doer, but the LORD weighs the heart. Proverbs 21:2.

My child, if you accept my words and treasure up my commandments within you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; if you indeed cry out for insight, and raise your voice for understanding; if you seek it like a silver, and search for it as for hidden treasures-then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.
For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:1-6.
(For I did not receive it from a human source, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ. Galatians 1:12.)
Get wisdom; get insight: do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her (wisdom), and she will keep you; love her and she will guard you. The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever else you get, get insight. Proverbs 4:5-7.
Keep hold of instruction; do not let go; guard her (wisdom), for she is your life. Proverbs 4:13.
If you say, “Look, we did not know this”-does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it? And will he not repay all according to their deeds? Proverbs 24:12. Amen.

Friday 27 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: For Human ways are under the eyes of the LORD, and he examines all their paths. Proverbs 5:21.

...for the perverse are an abomination to the LORD... Proverbs 3:32.
There are six things that the LORD hates, seven that are an abomination to him:
haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that hurry to run to evil, a lying witness who testifies falsely, and one who sows discard in a family. Proverbs 6:16-19.
The fear of the LORD is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate. Proverbs 8:13.
Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD… Proverbs 12:22.
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD… Proverbs 15:8.
Like a maniac who shoots deadly firebrands and arrows, so is one who deceives a neighbor and says, ‘I am joking!” Proverbs 26:18-19.
The eyes of the LORD are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good. Proverbs 15:3. Amen.

Thursday 26 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: So the woman said to Elijah, “Now I know that you are a man of God, and that the word of the LORD in your mouth is truth.” 1Kings 17:24.

Elijah said to her, ‘Do not be afraid; go and do as you have said; but first make me a little cake of it and bring it to me, and afterwards make something for yourself and your son…She went and did as Elijah said…The jar of meal was not emptied, neither did the jug of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD that he spoke by Elijah.
After this the son of the woman…became ill; his illness was so severe that there was no breath left in him. She then said to Elijah, “What have you against me, O man of God? You have come to me to bring my son to remembrance, and to cause the death of my son!...He cried out to the LORD, “O LORD my God, let this child’s life come to him again, and he revived….then Elijah said, “See, your son is alive.” So the woman said to Elijah, “Now I know that you are a man of God, and that the word of the LORD in your mouth is truth.” 1Kings 17:13-24.
If a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD but the thing does not take place or prove true, it is a word that the LORD has not spoken. The Prophet has spoken it presumptuously; do not be frightened by it. Deuteronomy 18:22. Amen.

Wednesday 25 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: And I sought for anyone among them who would repair the wall and stand in the breach before me on behalf of the land. So that I would not destroy it; but I found no one. Ezekiel 22:30.

Its priests have done violence to my teaching and have profaned my holy things; they have made no distinction between holy and the common, neither have they taught the difference between the unclean and the clean… Ezekiel 22:26.
Its prophets have smeared whitewash on their behalf, seeing false visions and divining lies for them saying, “Thus says the Lord God,” when the LORD has not spoken. Ezekiel 22:28.
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices-mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law-justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former. Matthew 23:23.
There is a judge…that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day. John 12:48. Amen.

Tuesday 24 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition. Matthew 15:6.

“Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.” Matthew 10:37-39.
For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes... Matthew 13:15.
“These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.” Matthew 15:8-9.
“Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots. Leave them; they are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” Matthew 15:13-14.
“I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven” Matthew 18:3.
“I tell you the truth; it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:23. Amen.

Monday 23 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure. Matthew 11:26.

If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? ...And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? …Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Matthew 5:46-48.
No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You can not serve both God and Money. Matthew 6:24.
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” Matthew 7:24.
And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one these little ones…I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward.” Matthew 10:42.
If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. Matthew 16:24. Amen.

Sunday 22 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but…in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you. Romans 12:3.

But how can I bear the heavy burden of your disputes all by myself? Deuteronomy 1:12.
We have different gifts according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully. Romans 12:6-8.
So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Romans 14:22.
…think of what you were called. 1Corinthians 1:26.
Therefore, as it is written: “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.” 1Corinthians 1:31. Amen.

Saturday 21 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” Romans 9:15.

It does not, therefore, depend on man’s desire or effort, but on God’s mercy.
For the Scriptures says… “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” Therefore God has mercy, on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden. Romans 9:16-18.
But who are you. O man, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’” Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use? Romans 9:20-21.
What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, righteousness that is by faith; but Israel, who pursued a law of righteousness, has not attained it. Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the “stumbling stone” As it is written:
“See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” Romans 9:30-33.
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13. Amen.

Friday 20 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: ‘The LORD, before whom I walk, will send his angel with you and make your way successful. Genesis 24:40.

And he (the servant) said, “O, LORD, God of my master Abraham, please grant me success today and show steadfast love to my master Abraham. I am standing here by the spring of water… Let the girl to whom I shall say, “Please offer your jar that I may drink,’ and who shall say, ‘Drink, and I will water your camels’- let her be the one whom you have appointed for your servant Isaac. By this I shall know that you have shown steadfast love to my master. Before he had finished speaking…there was Rebekah…coming out with her water jar on her shoulder. Genesis 24:12-15.
The man (the servant) gazed at her in silence to learn whether or not the LORD had made his journey successful. Genesis 24:21.
Before I had finished speaking in my heart… Genesis 24:45.
“The thing comes from the LORD; we can not speak to you anything bad or good… Genesis 24:50.
And God, who searches the heart, knows what is the mind of the Spirit… Romans 8:27. Amen.

Thursday 19 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: For it is written in the Law of Moses: “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.” 1Corinthians 9:9.

In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel.
But I have not used any of these rights… I would rather die than have anyone deprive me of this boast. Yet when I preach the gospel, I can not boast, for I am compelled to preach…
Just this: that in preaching the gospel I may offer it free of charge, and so not make use of my rights in preaching it. 1Corinthians 9:14-18.
I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some.
I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in it’s blessings. ICorinthians 9:22-23.
Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; 1Corinthians 9:26.
Freely you have received, freely give. Matthew 10:8. Amen.

Wednesday 18 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: But, “The burden of the LORD” you shall mention no more… Jeremiah 23:36.

Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! Jeremiah 23:1.
They keep saying to those who despise the word of the LORD, “It shall be with you”, and to all who stubbornly follow their own stubborn hearts, they say, “No calamity shall come upon you.”
For who has stood in the council of the Lord so as to see and to hear his word? Who has given heed to his word so as to proclaim it?  Jeremiah 23:17-18.
They plan to make my people forget my name by their dreams that they tell one another…let the prophet who has a dream tell the dream. Jeremiah 23:27-28.
So it is with you. Unless you speak intelligible words with your tongue, how will anyone know what you are saying? ...For this reason anyone who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret what he says. 1Corinthians 14:13.
If you are praising God with your spirit, how can one who finds himself among those who do not understand say “Amen” to your thanks giving? You may be giving thanks well enough, but the other man is not edified.
But in the church I would rather speak five intelligible words to instruct others than ten thousand words in tongue. 1Corinthians 14:16-17 & 14:19.
…for the burden is everyone’s own word, and so you pervert the words of the living God, the LORD of hosts, our God. Jeremiah 23:36. Amen.

Tuesday 17 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: As for those agitators, I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves! Galatians 5:12.

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy…having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.
But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone. 2Timothy 3:1-5 & 3:9.
But avoid foolishness controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless. Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time. After that, have nothing to do with them. You may be sure that such a man is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned. Titus 3:9-11.
…if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace. Hebrews 6:6. Amen.

Monday 16 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Titus 2:15. (Because) …the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Romans 8:22.)

For there are many rebellious people, mere talkers and deceivers… They must be silenced, because they are ruining, whole households by teaching things they ought not to teach-and that for the sake of dishonest gain. Titus 1:10-11.
They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good. Titus 1:16.
(But) You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine. Titus 2:1.
But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry. 2Timothy 4:5.
In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness, and soundness of speech that can not be condemned, so that those nothing bad to say about us. Titus 2:7-8. Amen.

Sunday 15 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: God…whom no one has seen or can see. 1Timothy 6:15-16.

For it is written:
“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”
Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 1Corinthians 1:19-21.
However, as it is written:
“No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him.”
but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. 1Corinthians 2:9-10.
Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?
If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him;
So then, no more boasting about men! All things are yours…all are yours, and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God. 1Corinthians 3:16-23. Amen.

Saturday 14 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you… 2Timothy 1:6.

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, who has saved us and called us to a holy life… 2Timothy 1:7-8.
What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus. Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you-guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us. 2Timothy 1:13-14.
Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 2Timothy 2:3.
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. 2Timothy 2:15.
Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.” 2Timothy 2:19. Amen.

Friday 13 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: “You are my servant, I have chosen you and not cast you off.” Isaiah 41:9.

Yes, all who are incensed against you shall be ashamed and disgraced; those who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish.
You shall seek those who contend with you, but you shall not find them; those who war against you shall be as nothing at all.
For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Do not fear, I will help you.” Isaiah 41:11-13.
…so that all may see and know, all may consider and understand, that the hand of the LORD has done this, the Holy One…has created it. Isaiah 41:20.
Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone. Colossians 4:6.
But as for you, man of God, shun all this; pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith; 1Timothy 6:11-12. Amen.

Thursday 12 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? Romans 8:33.

For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. Romans 8:29:30.
But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things-and the things that are not-to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. 1Corinthians 27:29.
“The stone the builders rejected
Has become the capstone;
The Lord has done this,
And it is marvelous in our eyes.’ Matthew 21:42.
“So that the last will be first, and first will be last.” Matthew 20:16. Amen.

Wednesday 11 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: For we do not write you anything you can not read or understand. 2Corinthians 1:13.

If a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD but the thing does not take place or prove true, it is a word that the LORD has not spoken. The Prophet has spoken it presumptuously; do not be frightened by it. Deuteronomy 18:22.
For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. 2Corinthians 11:13-15.
Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. 2Corinthians 4:2.
Why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do! 2Corinthians 11:11.
 Amen.

Tuesday 10 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: By their fruit you will recognize them… Matthew 7:16.

Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?” Then I will tell them plainly, “I never know you. Away from me…!” Matthew 7:21-23.
For the lips of a priest should guard knowledge and people should seek instruction from his mouth, for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts. Matthew 2:7.
Since an overseer is entrusted with God’s work, he must be blameless-not over bearing, not quick tempered-…not pursuing dishonest gain. Rather he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who us self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. He must holy firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it. Titus 1:7-9. Amen.

Monday 9 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: I know, my God, that you search the heart, and take pleasure in uprightness; 1Chronicles 29:17.

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7:12.
…Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave-just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve… Matthew 20:26-28.
For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. Matthew 23:12.
And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him… Mark: 11:25.
Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other. Galatians 5:26.
Let us not become weary in doing good… Galatians 6:9.
Keeping God’s commands is what counts. 1Corinthians: 7:19. Amen.

Sunday 8 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: “If you are looking for me, then let these men go.” John 18:8.

Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, “Who is it you want?”
“Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied.
“I am he,” Jesus said. (And Judas the traitor was standing there with them.) When Jesus said, “I m he,” they drew back and fell to the ground.
Again he asked them, “Who is it you want?”
And they said, “Jesus of Nazareth.”
“I told you that I am he,” Jesus answered. “If you are looking for me, let these men go.” This happened so that the words he had spoken would be fulfilled: ‘I (Jesus) have not lost one of those you gave me.” John 18:4-9.
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. The hired hand is not the shepherd who owns the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. John 10:11-13.
(So) Put your trust in the light…John 12:36. Amen.

Saturday 7 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.” Matthew 9:37.

Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?
“Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.”
Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.”
Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you truly love me?”
He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”
Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.”
The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”
Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?”
He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.”
Jesus said, “Feed my sheep.” John 21: 15-17.
By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:35. Amen.

Friday 6 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing…it should not be. James 3:10.

When we put bits into mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. Or take ships as an example…they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go.
Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark.
The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. James 3:3-6.
For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. James 3:16.
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. James 3:13.
But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. Matthew 12:36. Amen.

Thursday 5 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: I t is written in the Prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God.’ John 6:45.

“If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.
Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him. John 7: 37-38.
Why is my language not clear to you? ...Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! …He who belongs to God hears what God says. John 8:43 & 8:45 & 8:47.
…for they loved praise from men more than praise from God. John 13:43.
“I (Jesus) am the way and the truth and the life.” John 14:9.
But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. John 14:26.
If anyone of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. Amen.

Wednesday 4 January 2012

The New Life In Christ: If you seek him, he will be found by you; 1Chronicles 28:9.

He will not quarrel or cry out; no one will hear his voice in the street. Matthew 12:19.
(Whoever serves me must follow me and where I am, my servant also will be. John 12:26. Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did. 1John 2:6)
He did not need man’s testimony about man, for he knew what was in a man. John 2:25.
You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.
I (Jesus) do not accept praise from men, but I know you. I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts.
I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him.
How can you believe if you accept praise from one another, yet make no effort to obtain the praise that comes from the only God? John 5:39-44. Amen.

The New Life In Christ: Fight the good fight of the faith…Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called…. 1Timothy 6:12.

Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant, not to put their hope wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in GOD…
Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of life that is truly life. 1Timothy 17:19.
Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ Hebrews 6:1 (No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will know me, from the least to the greatest.(Hebrews 8:11)  and go on to maturity, Hebrews 6:1. (In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that can not be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us. (Titus 2:7)
…no one…is godless like Esau, who for a single meal (worldly riches) sold his inheritance rights (spiritual blessings of God) as the oldest son… Hebrews 12:16.
For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles as just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. James 2:10. Amen.

The New Life In Christ : …think of why you were when you were called. 1Corinthians 1:26.

Yet, O, LORD, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand. Isaiah 64:8.
But who are you, O man, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’”
Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use?
…As he says in Hosea:
“I will call them ‘my people’ who are not my people; and
I will call her ‘my loved one’ who is not my loved one,” and,
“It will happen that in the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ they will be called ‘sons of living God.’” Romans 9:20-21 & 9:25-26.
You search the scriptures… John 5:39. Amen.

The New Life In Christ : O LORD, who may abide in your tent? Who may dwell on your holy hill? Psalm 15:1.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but
only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 7:21.
Those who walk blamelessly, and do what is right, and speak the truth from their heart;
Who do not slander with their tongue, and do no evil to their friends, nor take up a reproach against their neighbors;
In whose eyes the wicked are despised,
But who honor those who fear the LORD;
Who stand by their oath even to their hurt;
Who do not lend money at interest, and do not take a bribe against the innocent. Those who do these things shall never be moved. Psalm 15:2-5.
All must test their own work; Galatians 6:4. Amen.
